Offsite in the Surrey Countryside
I was lucky enough to be able to tag along with David for his off site meeting held at Penny Hill Park Hotel and The Spa in Surrey. The weather was not that great but it didn't stop me from making the most of the amazing spa facilities including the large outdoor swimming pool complete with hot tubs and plunge pools. Its amazing how a cup of cappuccino can warm you up and make you think that the sun is shining.
I thought it was interesting when we pulled up at the entrance and saw what cars were parked - a Range Rover, a Mercedes, a Porsche and a Bentley Notice the Bentley's number plate - OIL 86 - I will have to ask David if it's one of his colleagues!
The hotel and spa are set in 120 beautifully manicured acres that includes a nine hole golf course. All the rooms and suites are individually designed and ours included a large four poster bed and the biggest hotel bathroom I think I have ever seen.
After a lazy morning I decided to try out the jogging trail that runs around the golf course for approximately one mile. Rather mean of the design to make the last 200 yards all uphill but it gave me an excuse to stop and take a picture of the local wildlife crossing the fairway. I managed four times around but each time the hill got me and I'm not sure if it was mind or body that gave up first! Heading to the gym once David comes back for a brief respite before his BBQ team dinner then tomorrow my aunt and uncle are joining me for lunch so I will get to explore a little more of what the hotel has to offer.

Motorexpo 2013
June 10th-16th sees the Motorexpo making a stop in Canary Wharf. While we enjoyed our morning coffee at our local Brera, David had a front row seat watching the guys from the Great British Sports Car company putting the final polish on their Zero car. If you can wait three weeks plus have the time to visit the factory to walk through all your own specifications then you can be the owner of a Zero - oh yes and have 20,000 pounds to spare (and you don't get a roof).
I think I was a little more interested at our next stop when we found a number of cars parked in the foyer of one of the high rise buildings (yes a little strange I thought). The convertible Bentley is one of Rebecca's current favourite's so lets hope she makes her fortune later in life so that she can own her dream car as the sticker price is roughly $250,000!
Also in this foyer we found a bright orange Lotus and a rather strange coloured Mercedes SLS. Two Aston's were undercover and while we thought they were DB9's I have just read the website and discovered that they are unveiling the new Vanquish so we might need a return visit for David to drool a little more.
